I have tried both my EVGA 2070 super and my 3070 FTW3 and I average the EXACT SAME fps, usually about 45-55 fps, I used Riva Tuner to check my usage and my gpu stayed at a constant 0% while my CPU maxed at 100%

The game is capped at 60fps. Do you have VSync on in game or at the driver level? Do you have an iGPU that might be being used?

I apologize for my first response, wallpaper engine decided to NOT stop with Elden ring open this time and it just tanked my performance, however something has changed because now I can actually feel the heat from my gpu, it is being used

Your monitoring software is buggy, if GPU was at 0% there won't be any image on screen at all

Elden Ring Ray Tracing is extremely taxing because there is no upscaling like DLSS or FSR. Even my 4080 can't do 4K 60 fps with ray tracing enabled. And the difference in graphics fidelity is very small.

The only thing Ray Tracing does in this game is slightly better shadows (only on medium and up) and slightly better ambient occlusion on foliage on all settings. The settings over medium don't noticeable increase the shadow resolution, only the shadow range from my testing.

Anyway, unless you have a 4090 for 4K, or a 4080 for 1440p, you should just keep it off imo. It generally isn't worth the performance hit in this game.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
