PSU to GPU extensioncable

thecalmpanda

Hi,

I am building a custom desktop with my old hardware and I need to extend my PSU to GPU cabel.

I have the Corsair RM750i power supply and it is a 1080ti GPU. It uses the 2 x 6+2 PCIe power cable at the GPU side. How can I extend my powercable?

Could these be used in series? Cable extensions are universal, any will work on any PSU (well DON'T plug them in the PSU, they're extensions, you got what I mean)

But yours is super short and looks like crap really 😛 , you could get a nicer one

Thanks for the reply!

I would have to plug it into the PSU, if not I would have to extend both of the 6+2 connectors?

Or can I use 2 of these 8-pins on the end of the 2 6+2 connectors going into the GPU?

You want a couple of things that look like these , take special care to make sure it has both sides of this connection.

The ones you linked won't work because your GPU takes an 8 pin and a 6 pin so you need the ones with splitters , see how the pic I linked is a 6+2 letting you swap between either.

I think amazon UK with ship to Norway and so will the the German site.

SilverStone SST-PP07-PCIR - 25cm 8pin to PCI-E 6+2pin Sleeved Extention Cable, red https://amzn.eu/d/6Qyy1OY is what you need and you need two if them.

WARNING

Do not try to plug these into your psu , they are extensions for your original PCIE connections.
