I have recently built a new PC and it is very loud when playing games that shouldn't take to much power eg. CS:GO gpu: gta 650ti 2gb power supply: corsair 500r any idea of how I can stop being as loud?

Thanks in advance

Do you know if it's the CPU fan that's loud or your graphics card?

Open the case. Locate what makes the noise, come back to us.

The gpu

Nothing much you can do. Try adjusting the fan curve maybe, but it's not going to help if your GPU cooler is loud it will stay loud.

Ok, to determine where the noise comes from you need to manually stop the fans for just a second each, by pressing down on the motor hub, one at a time. Once the noise stops, you have found the loud one. If it is your GPU, take a look at the temps. If they are, lets say, below 60 under load, you can use Afterburner to set a fan curve that will make the card quieter. Set it so that the max. temps stay within limits, but don't be afraid to approach 80°C, if that allows a quieter fan curve.

yes I'm sure just checked.

If it's really really bothering you, you could take the fans off and strap some silent fans like noiseblocker of noctua's to the heatsink of the GPU.
