Possibly dying gpu.

alan93

Hello everyone I would like some advice. I was playing escape from tarkov today and my game started getting black lines. The weird thing is it only happened in that one game and only in one particular place on map I was playing. Soon as I left that one area it seemed to run fine. I checked and seen my graphics drivers and all that where way out of date and updated everything. Anything else I can do? Lastly I checked my warranty status on it and it runs out in a year. What would be a good possible replacement if it comes it it? I have a 2080ti and 1080ti I could use if worst comes to worse so could wait awhile if that best. The current one is a Asus tuff 3090ti.

If it only happens in one specific map of one specific game, I'd assume its a bug in the game and not hardware related. Can you reproduce it? Can you grab a screenshot of the issue?

When I get home I'll try it again and get some pics. I thought it was weird that it was only in one spot but just wanted to look at all the possibile things it could be.

Tarkov has had some places that do that on some of the maps, it's most likely the game has a texture bug in that specific spot and your GPU is fine. I've ran into this exact same thing on Tarkov and it's persisted until they went in and fixed the bug on the map.

Tarkov is full of cheaters 🙂

You should try out your 4080s on something else, something demanding....like driving through Cyberpunk

or running through Last of Us or Alan Wake II.

Sometimes in games i get runaway vectors from the end of an object to the horizon, it's rare but that

and seeing plain color triangles could spell doom or it could be game related.

I tried cyperpunk and resident evil 4 remake as well and it ran fine that was why I got all confused.
