Audacity alternative

So audacity doesn't work on my windows 11 rig anymore (it does thin insane thing where it loops itself and records the loopback on top of itself in an infinite cycle).

I need an alternative that will record my computer audio and not my microphone.

I use Audacity in Windows 11 occasionally (normally a Linux user). I normally don't record PC audio through it though. However I just tried and it didn't work at first (it actually crashed it) However I noticed by default it was only recording one channel, under audio settings once I changed it to the correct setting, everything worked fine.  Also make sure your Host setting is correct.

 

Might be worth a try.
