Would overclocking an amd fx 6300 to 4.0ghz actually give you any noticeable increase in performance? Thanks for the help.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

Yes. Overclocking always improves performance.

 

But what is your usage scenario?
