PC shutting down randomly

My actual PSU is a Corsair RM1000e which is more than enough to handle everything and it's only about a year old. BIOS and chipset are both updated. But if it was an issue with the RAM or PSU wouldn't it happen all the time, not just randomly? Been playing most of today and it hasn't happened at all.
RAM especially is definitely not something that happens all the time, its a very random thing actually, even though it often can happen when doing the same or similar tasks (like opening a program, watching a video, etc)
If you have more than 2 sticks try with 2 sticks only in *dual channel*. if you have just 2 sticks try with only one - also try all slots to be sure.
Edit: also don't use XMP or any other kind of over or underclocking until this issue is resolved
