Windows Update doesn't work

Go to solution Solved by Mozra,

Just a Update for anybody with the same isssue, i fixed it. I went to settings -> recovery -> solve problems using windows update. It reinstalls the current version of win without destroying anything. Worked for me.

Don't know if the tings are exactly what i called them, because I translated it from german.

Don't forget to backup you system beforehand just to be safe

I have been using 3rd party utilities:

https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/wau_manager.html

and

https://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/WuMgr.shtml

Both do most of the work that Windows update doesn't. Only "Online Service Experience Pack" updates are not detected by those tools.

It went on for the last few weeks, I didnt have time to care, but now i do, what am i supposted to do?

Hi buddy,

If there is a sniff that your Windows install is borked or the update portion isn't working correctly you could try the command sfc /scannow to see it picks up any errors and tried to correct.

TBH, you might need to bit the bullet and do a fresh install of Windows. You could try a repair but nothing like a fresh start.
