I just installed an arc 380 on my non gaming pc.

Mainly for low cost!

However my old graphics card, an old amd radeon r9 200, supported amd VSR which I loved.

I had my displays set to around 2300 x ??? even though natively only support 1920 x ???

I just saw a new entry in an intel community board requesting super resolution.

They were not very encouraging.

Any ideas if Intel is going to add super resolution to the arc graohics boards!

I have been using an A750 for just over a year now.

I haven't seen anything regarding virtual super resolution in arc control.

Hopefully feature parity is on their road map for future additions, however, I think their primary goal is driver and compatibility improvements (which I think is the correct choice at this time).

My guess is super resolution is a feature used by a minority of gpu owners, so probably not a top priority to implement for their team.

Intel are rightfully focusing effort on the core functionality of their GPU. They dont even have a frame generation solution yet. Video enhancement is definitely a fringe feature

You could also explore using both the ARC and old R9 200 at the same time, with the latter selected as the hardware accelerator for video playback applications that can benefit from VSR. I have not attempted anything similar. YMMV

Good luck

  • 2 weeks later...

The original AMD RX 290 died because 2 of its 3 fans stopped working.

Even 1 attached monitor brought its temp up to 100C

I ordered 3 exact same fans from Walmart (really a chinese 3rd party).

It took 10 days to arrive (via new zealand)

Replaced the fans, now all is great!

Temp hovers around 50 -60 C

Now I have the capability to attach 8 Monitors!

I always loved many monitors and run as many as possible in VSR!
