It's my AUX jack in the motherboard that fks up the situation... 馃槥

Hello dear community!

As I here found many of the hardware/software answers to the issues I had in the past, I'm hopping someone will be able to help me again.

These are the speakers I have聽logitech z407, and they've been serving me faithfully for 2 years. The only issues I had with these speakers is that sometimes while gaming the speakers would suddenly burst and the crackling noise would appear for a short period of time, like i turned it on maximum. I didn't give it much though cause it would very fast come back to normal and it wasn't something that happens ofted. Time of servitude has come to an end as now I have and unstandable crackling noise that is just too high to bear. It's like videos, movies, games, music, you name it it's crackling to the point that it is just not bareable, my ears a hurting, literary.

So what I tried is the following:
1) I thought of changing the AUX cable :聽https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B01I0SI1SG?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details聽 聽----> Nothing happened, still carckling all the time

2) I thought of changing the speakers themselves :聽https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B075QVMBT9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details聽 聽----> Nothing happened, still carckling all the time

3) I thought of reinstalling the whole windows and all drivers thinking that my do the trick聽 聽----> Nothing happened, still carckling all the time

4) Now I ordered this from internet (https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0CJQ8FQNP?psc=1&smid=AZ3RJP71UBLI4&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp) thinking that AUX port is damaged, which I don't see how that could've happened, but if this doesn't do the trick I don't know what other option is left for me to do?

Please advise me on what to do.

Thank you kindly in advance

Try updating your sound card drivers. Not from Windows update. Go to the motherboards manufactures website for the drivers.聽

Try slightly turning the 3.5mm audio jack. Sometimes it can help.聽

Did you try turning the cable slightly? Sometimes it does not make full contact while being plugged in.聽

It's not as bad as you think.

Most people use an external soundcard (DAC, headphone amplfifier) similar to your 4.) solution for their PC anyways and will never touch the motherboard's headphone output.

I know you probably don't want to spend more money after all of that troubleshooting, but if you want a really cheap good and really good DAC, you can pick up one of these. The DAC chip is the CX31993. It doesn't matter which brand/OEM is incorporating it in this situation.

@saintlouisbagels聽well I have no more option I exhausted all of them. The option 4. worked a bit but now the windows/motherboard refuses to recognize it anymore. In DeviceManager it's stated it's not recognized or something like that.

I'm gonna try your option one last time. Ordered this聽https://www.amazon.fr/blispring-Adaptateur-d茅codeurs-CX31993-Casque/dp/B0CW2N3Z6R/ref=sr_1_5?__mk_fr_FR=脜M脜沤脮脩&crid=14ZDR5QZAJOAW&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.aoDrb3cTlWq8umxI2QVm2kMxTBh_hyBnpcDV-0nZEdXuvBzi6ANaYVUQnaMCvOooG90K6RIj5U9fU-10rc15sI0bJQP_l3nY1Qk6HkiXU-9m7fE4HfGGlbZ233yR_EMQ-hiC8brQheBowhX21naYI5RKBQvhenx0_wQKG5sLWYcclIc1USjAxn00uHh7Uyb9Un0M97z1C-mtHr974a2vRqjVP2t06VxTbaTTKzsVNacTLzlFd4_w-w9Ae8QihLEmmiNJWOYj_tmGtMV_iKDfVIRhQO9Gf7lmzxpPrqPfG-E.VneVAjXeK1sQYM7ddwxi0kpXlu1rCPiWktHZ1Pes-kc&dib_tag=se&keywords=CX31993&qid=1721377426&sprefix=cx31993%2Caps%2C69&sr=8-5

Don't get this part though, what's the usb thingy for?

image.png.e12d7a7dabed0eb545aaa8953052b246.png

Do I need to install any software for it or is it plug and use?

If this doesn't work I'll just buy a new damn motherboard and be done with it.

Not everyone's computer has a USB-C port, so they're including a USB-C to USB-A adapter. It won't affect anything - they're passive adapters.
