those things are worth 30€ or less now cause this is an old platform

youd be better off reselling that 8500 to some idiot thatd buy one and get yourself a used ryzen 3600(x) for ~50€ and a new ~60€ b450 or even a used <50€ b3/450 which will give you better performance outright and you even have the option to go to a 5700x3d/5800x3d in the future if youd like assuming those are reasonably priced in a gen or 2 on the used market

You'd be mad to pay a lot of money for a 1151v2 board and the vast majority are going to be used at this point.

If it was me, I'd put the money into an i3-12100F & H610/B660/B760 combo instead.

If you're determined, H310 is really bottom of the barrel unless you're happy with something so basic. That one doesn't even have a heatsink on the VRM and there's no M.2 slot, which I consider a bare minimum in 2024.

I'd look at a B360/B365 board or Z370/Z390, but as said, don't pay a lot for one, because it just isn't worth it for such an old CPU.

Availability of retail 1151v2 boards is slim, depending on your local retailers have left unsold. Intel does not support it for household consumers anymore. Your best bet is to find a good used unit locally.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora
