I'm looking for a Wired PC gaming controller, with as similar a layout to the XBOX360 controller that is compatible with Windows 8.1 for the lowest possible price.  Would really prefer for it to have vibration, but if not this is ok.

I am looking to play games like FIFA, Dark Souls, Witcher II, Titanfall, etc...

If there is a controller that anyone has used that comes with a good driver or knows of some software to program the buttons that I can pair with it, please point me in the right direction.

Thank you!

They cost like $40, and I have seen alternatives for $10-$25 that just need some software or drivers.  Seen so many mixed reviews that I need personal experience from someone.

Steel Series 3GC

Something like that is similar enough, and at a much lower price, with vibration, the reviews are so mixed though.

you best bet is to walk into a gamestop and buy a wired xbox 360 controller.  either new or used.   doesn't have to say pc compatible since you can just grab the driver online.

From my experience its the only reliable controller in windows environment for games.   That being said I currently use a PS4 controller via usb cable and xbox 360 xinput re-mapper to play games.

I have a wireless 360 controller but i didn't want to spend $20 on the adapter.

Hmm I also have wireless 360 controllers, didn't know there were adapters available.  I think I will go that route, thank you!

I got a pre-owned Xbox 360 wired controller. Only cost me $8. It has vibration, however even the games that have full controller support often don't have vibration.

Did you buy it at Gamestop?

@Maxibonbits @Silent_R493

Just got my wireless Xbox 360 receiver in the mail today and it works like a dream!

I am having so much fun playing games like FIFA, Dark Souls, and Witcher II using my 360 controller.  I can't wait to try it out on more games.

Thank you guys for recommending the wireless receiver to me!
