insert in the white port (there is no white port on this board).

The port labeled C is the Q-Flash+ port.

Make sure you have file extensions turned on in Windows Explorer so you know you're naming the file correctly.

If yours isn't that same 32.7MB then you used the wrong file (Latest F30 BIOS)

In my experience flashback can also fail if the USB stick (FAT32 of course) is using a GPT partition table instead of the more traditional MBR.

Different board, same process. Your BIOS flashback button is in a different location according to your manual.

Hello, I bought these and am trying to flash the bios on the board in order to boot. Currently there is nothing installed on the board. The 24V power is connected, and I have tried the flash drive in both of the non-usb 3 ports. In the manual, it says to format to fat32, download the driver, rename the file to GIGABYTE.bin, and insert in the white port (there is no white port on this board). Press the Q flash button, then the LED should turn on. The LED does not turn on, but the power supply spins up briefly before turning off. I would be delighted to give more details if needed.

Just for the sake of trying I connected the cpu, ram, and m.2 ssd in order to determine if the board would keep its power, and it did. The ram lit up and the power supply kept spinning, but no video output. I also do not have another chip to update bios that way...

is the CPU EPS power connector connected as well? Every board I've used BIOS Flashback on requires that as well.

Use the top one, the USB 2 port furthest away from the PS2 port, that's the one that the manual specifically states as being for BIOS Flashback.

According to Gigabyte's product page, you need the EPS cable plugged in, along with the 24-pin. Also make sure you followed all renaming requirements, and have it formatted to FAT32.

Interesting.

Gigabyte should probably update those if they're going to have them on their website in any meaningful capacity. Some people might just Google the question, and that link might pop up for them, and they'll be super confused.

If everyone else's help fails, try a different brand of flash drive. I ran into this issue with my board. Changed to a different flash drive (following the exact same steps that I previously used) and it worked fine.
