Hi guys, today I come to you with another question. With the Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87 LGA 1150 motherboard support devils canyon? I know it sounds like a noob question and Z97 blaah blah blah blah blah, but I remember hearing that Z87 would support the haswell refresh with a simple Bios update. Is this true?

wow, thats a lot of bees!

You're going to have to update the bios before you do, so make sure you do that before installing a new CPU.

z87 officially does not support devils canyon. ( dont ask me what the difference is lol, to me dc is haswell refresh)

wait till computex is amongst us, we should know if z87 works with dc then, until then the answer is no, it will not work.

i have also been keeping a close eye on bios updates, as of right now no vendors have updated the microcodes on z87 to support DC.

That's weird though. DC is merely unlocked HR. I don't get it obviously...
