Go to solution Solved by GeTecknics,

fiio e10 depends on when you buy sometimes they are $85 and other times they are upwards of $115 with hd 419's($40) and a mod mic ($50) or the zalman one for like $7

but looking for dacs this came up: http://www.amazon.com/Syba-Stereo-Headphone-Amplifier-SD-DAC63057/dp/B009WN7QT4/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1401071089&sr=8-5&keywords=headphone+dac+and+amp

i know this isnt the best but i love my hd419's they are comfortable and sound good are they as good as some hd595's no but they get the job done

really good setup would be

fiio e10 or O2 amp and dac

HD 555 or 595

and a mod mic or an audio- technica at2020($100)(i love mine)

Greetings,

After having bad luck with a G930, i'm currently looking for a good audio setup (Headphones - Mic - DAC/AMP). i'm currently using my old Megalodon but I find it lacking in term of audio quality and such and I'd like to find something better.

Any of you guys would like to give me some good recommendations would be much appricated because i'm sick of having to change my audio setup every 3 months or so because of a problem.

Mainly the budget for each piece would be like this: $100-250 for the headphones and for the others i don't mind a budget in particular but i'd rather get something that won't be cheap, let's say between $100 - 200 each.

CHC Silverados are super cheap right now so I have a hard time recommending anything else. Grab a modmic with it and spend the rest of your money on something else.

Like NannerBeans said, CHC Silverado. They are $50 on amazon currently. Grab yourself a Zalman clip on mic or Modmic and get a decent dac with any extra money. If you are looking for exceptional mic quality but won't break the bank, I highly suggest a m-audio producer USB mic. It is around $90.

Are the CHC Silverado pretty good quality, are they entry level or good enough to be qualified as mid-range? As for clip on mics I'm not sure about those, I don't tend to trust them. As for the DAC i've searched and heard about the Fiio E10, any word about that DAC?

Edit: Ok i've looked at the CHC Silverado and on Amazon.ca they're not $50, more like $200 right now, i presume the one you told were on Amazon.com

Oh you own an AT2020? I always wondered if it was good, originally i wanted to crack the bank and pick one up, but I never had any words about it.

yes i like it. short review sounds good/not like a procaster or re20 but good enough to tell a difference between a cheaper one. doesnt pick up too much noise from keyboard but it is there really no complaints all pros no drivers no hassle easy setup and comes with a stand that is good and will last you till you can get a arm but really dont need one doesnt really need a pop filter but one is always good depends on what you want to use it for and comes with a stand adapter also usb and has a pretty blue light
