amd ryzen 5 3600x upgrade

Hey everyone, i recently purchased a 4070 super. I have a asus prime b550 board with a 3600x would I get an FPS boost if I upgrade to a 5800X 3D? Im using a 1440p 170hz monitor and I mostly play fortnite and Rainbow six seige. Thank you in advance.

Yes, you'll see a very sizeable uplift.  If you can, grab one.  If money is an issue, even the 5600 is a decent upgrade for a drop in.

 

But the 5800X3D is the topmost gaming CPU for that platform and a great pairing with a 4070 Super.

Fortnite, substantial increase of FPS. Rainbow six also a sizable chunk but that game already runs at super high  FPS regardless.

 

If you need to save about 80-100$ depending on how much the 5800x3D is, the 5700x3D is bit slower but also around 220$ ish
