Extreme Input delay. pls help

Recently, when i hop on fortnite, it works fine until i get into actual combat. then my PC lags so bad that it takes like a second for the PC to respond to the controls and my mouse. This a CPU problem? I have a 12100f. However, it usually works fine. Is it my wifi? i usually have high speeds, like 400mbps upload and 200mbps download. maybe that doesn't have anything to o with ping. I don't really know how to check for ping in fortnite either. I also got wifi 6 (E i think, or whatever is on the b660 aorus master ddr4 board). i barely know what I'm talking about. Pls help.

b660 aorus master

That's plain wifi6. Not that 6E is that useful for towers unless they have line of sight to the access point

5950X/3080Ti primary rig  |  1920X/1070Ti Unraid for dockers  |  200TB TrueNAS w/ 1:1 backup

Does your ping spike during the input delay time? You should be able to enable metrics in Fortnite settings that track ping at least I think.

Feel free to ask any questions regarding my comments/build lists. I know a lot about PCs but not everything.

PC:

Ryzen 5 5600 |16GB DDR4 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti

PCs I used before:

Pentium G4500 | 4GB/8GB DDR4 2133Mhz | H110 | GTX 1050

Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz / OC:4Ghz | 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz / 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1050

Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz | 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti

yea, im pretty sure it does. However, I am not completely sure, since I have tried looking for metrics in fortnite settings and have not found it.

it's apparently in HUD options turning on "Net debugg stats" or something like that.
