AFAIK, the G10 comes without VRM heatsinks, so yeah, people run the cards without VRM heatsinks. You still have the fan blowing down on them, so as long as you don't overvolt the card, you should be fine. You can monitor the VRM temps in GPU-Z, as long as they stay below 90-100°C, no problem. If they get too hot you can always undervolt the card for a while, until any heatsinks you ordered arrive.
