My SSD is wet (?)

So I never cleaned my PC for like 3 years after I bought it, this is the first time I clean the whole PC, change thermal paste and other things after I noticed lately my PC keeps shutting down on itself multiple times.

After I do cleaned the whole PC it's still keeps shutting down on itself. I tried to recheck the thermal paste, recleaned it and it's still shutting down again until I decide to open the SSD's heatsink.

Just like in the photo its looks wet even though my whole PC was dry after I tried to play some games on it.

Does anybody know what's going on with my SSD, is it broken?

Because if I tried to turn my PC on it still going to turn on, just not for a very long time.

Based on how it looks, it's likely that's silicone oil that seeps out from thermal pad.

AFAIK, it's non conductive (else you'd have a massive short circuit already)

Gotta say though, I don't think I ever seen that much oil leakage.

Should I just ditch the thermal sink and put my SSD as is or put it with the thermal sink after I dried it?

I kinda worried about heat problems on the SSD.

Me, I'd clean the oil with paper towel for tidyness sake and keep using the heatsink.

I've seen this often enough and it stays funny 😛

But yeah no worries here just thermal pad "sweat" you can clean it up or not doesnt matter. Just keep using the heatsink.

I forgot to add earlier :

After cleaning the oil, clean the gold contact pads with isopropyl alcohol

Just in case there's oil smeared onto them.
