My local internet providers internet plan obfuscation...

Screenshots can't do it justice....

Matanuska Telephone Association

("Normal"  local ISP for comparison)

The first one even if you call them they don't tell you exact numbers for the MB/s they just will say it's "optimized for multiple users." I know someone who lives kinda further away from city center in an old suburb, so he gets to share the connection with his next door neighbor (100mbps total, so if his neighbor watching movies or something he only gets around 40mbps down) they also try to upsell you with a " VPN wifi" their branded router with "device security and protection " or "wall to wall wifi router"

What a bizarre thing, I mean the whole point of paying through the nose for a "dedicated line" is to get a guaranteed speed.  So if they don't tell you the speed, what's the point?

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

If it were me Id file an FCC complaint. That will light a fire under their ass. They have 3 days to respond to a complaint.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
