I was recently tagged to read an article about SSD's and a huge performance boost they can get from a firmware update.

The article claims "speed increases of up to 300%" and "60% less power" used. It sounds almost too good to be true.

http://www.eteknix.com/ssd-breakthrough-could-mean-huge-speed-boosts-for-all-ssd-drives/ Here is the link.

It says that its easily implemented through firmware, which would be great! but would it be a conflict of interest from a company perspective to do it? what are your opinions on the matter??

You gotta do you girl. I always say you gotta do you. And if he's doing him, then who's doing you? Because right now, it seems like no one's doing you.

If you're running a multiple ssd's in raid it'll be achievable but with a single drive nope unless it's the new m.2 standard or sata express though it's cheating using 2 sata 6Gbps + a smaller proprietary connector. No brands linked into the article?
