Which graphics card is the best?

kacper6768

I have 3 graphics cards found in the dustbin

GF9400GT 1024M DDR2 128B CRT DVI HDMI - 1 GB VRAM
ATI Radeon HD 3650-MD512-OC - 512 MB VRAM
GF210 1024M DDR3 64B (TC) CRT DVI HDMI - 1GB VRAM

I evaluate graphics cards in terms of the amount of RAM, but I don't know if graphics cards should be evaluated in this respect.
The ATI Radeon HD 3650-MD512-OC has only 512 MB of VRAM but on the other hand, this graphics card has a 128-bit memory bus width and the fastest GPU clock of these three graphics cards.

I have a 15-year-old computer only with an integrated graphics card and I would like to install a graphics card in this 15-year-old computer.
Which of these graphics cards is the best?
Which comes second and which is the worst?

When I play a movie compressed with the H264 or H265 codec at a resolution of 1920x1080px on this old computer, it jams. Would a separate graphics card take over the movie playback and smoothen the playback of movies in the H264 or H265 codecs at 1920x1080p resolution?

All are terrible and none of them most likely wont help you with videos just because they are ancient. Get something like GT1030.

That was certainly how people used to do it back in the day but on todays GPU's its certainly not a top factor.

That being said all of those cards listed are very old and very slow by todays standards.

How relevant TPU's charts are with cards this old is debatable but it has the 3650 ahead with the GF210 as the slowest possible card on their charts.

That being said it appears the 9400GT includes Nvidia PureVideo 2nd generation which should give you H264 acceleration, though i'm not sure what you're going to do about H265.

You don't need to put absolute dogsh#t GPU in your old rig... A GT730 is like 25 bucks, has 2GB VRAM and is way faster than those turds

Not at all

As for these gpu's they are ANCIENT and haven't had driver support in many years same with just any aoftware supporting it.

What are the rest of the specs of the pc?

Like these things are extremely old and only some of these will help with h264 encoding. They cannot do h265 as that was invented YEARS after these came out.

Neither of these is going to do a good job or the job at all.

Could also just simply be your pc is too weak flat out to watch a 1080p movie.

What country are you in, and what's your budget? Do you plan on replacing the rest of your PC any time soon?

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

I live in Poland and am unemployed, so I only use spare parts that I find in the dustbin.

Does this mean that identical drivers for the GF210 1024M graphics card will also be compatible with the GF9400GT graphics card?

What is the difference between Game Ready Drivers (GRD) and Studio Drivers (SD) and which driver is better to install?

Is from this website https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-hd/ati-radeon-hd-3000-series/ati-radeon-hd-3650 drivers my ATI graphics card? Radeon HD 3650?

None of those cards will even fit?

As in your pc literally can't house them due to being a half sized unit pcie unit. The hd 3650 is the best of these cards.

Of these 3 cards, only the GeForce GF 210 graphics card after unplugging this part

marked with a red rectangle will fit in this computer.

Is it better to have an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card integrated in an HP Compaq 6005 Pro SFF PC motherboard or a dedicated GF210 1024 M DDR3 64B (TC) CRT DVI HDMI - 1 GB VRAM graphics card?

I had all motherboard drivers installed on 3 operating systems: 32-bit Windows XP, 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 and 64-bit Windows 10 Pro.
On the motherboard manufacturer's website https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-compaq-6005-pro-small-form-factor-pc/4024556 there were no drivers for Windows 10, so I installed the drivers for 64-bit Windows 7.
On Windows XP and Windows 7, the hibernation and Stand By options work, but on Windows 10, only the hibernation option was available in the start menu, without the Stand By option.
Why did this Stand By option appear in the start menu only after installing the GF210 1024 M DDR3 64B (TC) CRT DVI HDMI - 1 GB VRAM graphics card in the computer and installing drivers for this graphics card?
What does graphics have to do with the Stand By option?
Why do graphics card drivers install any sound drivers?
What does graphics have to do with sound?
I checked and it turned out that the GF210 1024 M DDR3 64B (TC) CRT DVI HDMI - 1 GB VRAM graphics card is much better than the integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card with the motherboard.
With this GF210 graphics card, videos compressed with the H264 or H265 codec at a resolution of 1920x1080px play smoothly, unlike the integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card with the motherboard.

For old devices for which the latest drivers from the official website are available for Windows 7, are these drivers better on Windows 10 or is it better to install these drivers from Windows Update?

When mounting a dedicated graphics card, do I need to uninstall these drivers for the integrated graphics card with the motherboard?

Is there any way to download all these drivers from the website https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=GeForce+210 in a batch way so that I don't have to download each file individually? These are 4 pages with a list of files and I would also like to download drivers for the GeForce 9400 GT and ATI Radeon HD 3650 graphics cards and the integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card with the motherboard?

In Windows 10, there is an option to set each application to use the GPU graphics processor. When I set the IrfanView image viewer to use the GPU graphics card processor, the photos load much faster.

spacer.png

In older Windows, in Windows 7 and Windows XP, I can't set the option so that IrfanView uses the GPU graphics processor to load photos. There is no such option in System Settings in Windows 7 and Windows XP or IrfanView settings. In the graphics card control panel there are only options for 3D applications, but IrfanView is a regular 2D application.
