4790k shitty overclocking after clearing cmos

My specs:

4790k

patriot viper iii 2x8gb @1866mhz (10-11-10-30 timings, 1.5v) (stock settings of the ram)

asus z97-c motherboard

decent 600w psu

 

 

My 24/7 OC stable settings used to be:

4790k

1 core active: 4.8ghz

2 cores active: 4.8ghz

3 cores: 4.7ghz

4 cores: 4.6ghz

Core voltage: 1.325v

Cache: 4.4 ghz

Cache voltage: 1.2v

 

RAM

2133mhz

10-11-10-30 timings, everything else on auto

DRAM voltage: 1.7v

 

I tried to push the ram beyond 2133mhz, eventually my pc wouldn't go into bios due to instability. Cleared cmos, applied the same settings as listed above, unstable in windows.

 

CPU required a massive 1.385v to be stable, instead of the old 1.325v. Temps were too high so I cant run it like that.

Any reasons for this?

 

Also im fucking done with this shitty CPU I might possibly sell it and buy a newer faster system, but I still want this issue fixed so I can learn. What can i sell it for on ebay (USD)? I have the original box, cooler, sexy, everything.

also for some reason using adaptive voltage it can do +100 offset, so up to 1.3v, and is perfectly stable right now, however temps appear to be like 1.35v
