No, i sadly don't the nearest one is 5 hours away. The closest thing is a Best Buy 😞 , I was probably going to buy the parts online.

Now I am not all that knowledgeable on video editing, but I think they use more CPU than GPU.  But a 16GB VRAM 6800 will rock gaming.

It may make more sense to go AM5 at this price point, but someone else can tell you if it's better for video editing to stay AM4 or go AM5 or even an Intel system.

Not sure if you were tied to that case or not, it was eating a good part of your performance budget.

Saved you a chunk of cash. This’ll be a decent bit worse than dedayog’s but will be a lot cheaper. switch out the cpu and gpu it the same if you want the performance, and it’ll be cheaper than his at the same performance. What do you think of buying used?

Wdyt of going am5 and getting more ram? For video editing wouldn’t more ram and faster ram be better?

Edit: was right, and 7500f is more upgrade able, and there’s more and better ram

I think for the CPU/RAM, specific suites need to be tested to see what is better.  5700X is no slouch.

Otherwise yes, moving to AM5 is viable.  I just don't like the 7500f.

You're still  using a weakish CPU and way too much spent on the case, and not a B550 board I would use.

The 5700XT while nice is outdated.

Are you not looking at our suggestions at all?

Why not the 7500f? It trades blows with the 5800, and though it has less cores each core is a decent bit stronger. I have a 5700x, if you want to test anything specific, but if it competes with the 5800 it should compete with the 5700

Also upgrade value

I'm trying to stay under $900 but I can go to $1000 but I prefer not to

CPU is better, not great, and you're still spending too much in the case and SSD, and not enough on the GPU, the 5700XT is even worse than a 3060 as it only has 8GB VRAM

FYI the 7700XT is 65% faster than the 3060 and 5700XT...

Tbh it’s not great. Get 1 2tb ssd vs 2, 5600 is super weak (compared to everything else) and the 5700xt was strong… in 2019

Yeah but not that much, and availability is spotty and often prices aren't good

Plus it's significantly more power hungry and "spiky" in power

Yeah but not that much, and availability is spotty and often prices aren't good

Plus it's significantly more power hungry and "spiky" in power

That’s fair, but when buying used it’s a decent option

Uving it should also help with power spike (that’s why I got a 750w one lol)

Literally actually means actually, FYI 🙂

And no, it won't just catch fire.  This exaggeration needs to stop with PSU's.  Every Tier C/D/E is a "fire hazard" on these forums.

Sure, recommend a Tier A or B, but not everyone has access to the top tier stuff in their regions or wants to pay for an overkill PSU.
