I would go for the hero

The one that has the greatest aesthetics, colour scheme, features to your liking. They will all perform the same.

Motherboards don't really impact performance. Choose the one that can handle all your other components and has the color scheme you like the most.

That said, I'd go with the Asus Maximus VII HERO.

it isn't like years ago that a motherboard impacted the outcome of

performance. today it is about connectivity, cost, features and aesthetics.

so there is not really a best other than does it fit your needs of hooking up

all your peripherals, network connectivity, doesn't break your budget and

looks the way you want if you are building with a theme.

HERO because ASUS's firmware tends to have less problems... then it would be the MSIorGigabyte Gaming 7.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
