Chromebook Touchpad Original Settings Changed?

paulyron

While using my chromebook, I opened the touchpad settings and not sure if I turned anything off or not.  Is there a way to set the touchpad settings to original settings?

So these are the touchpad settings on chromebook but not sure if I turned off or turned on something that wasn't like that before.

Built in Touchpad

Enable tap to click    - Off

Use touchpad and keyboard to right click -  Disabled        The other options are search + click and alt + click.

Enable tap dragging - Off

Enable touchpad acceleration - On

Touchpad speed- Right in the middle between slow and fast

Enable reverse scrolling - Off

From those things, did I change any of my original settings?  I believe if I did, it was only one setting but not sure which one it may be?

The only setting that looks off from normal is the tap to click. Note: I don't have a chromebook but these are standard laptop options.

Tap to Click should be on as far as I know. It's on by default on every single Windows laptop, Chromebook, or MacBook I've ever used.

I love making PCPartPicker lists.

Okay so turn tap to click on.  But what does that do whether it's on or off?  When it's off, what can't you do?

What about the one just below that?

Tap to click is when you just finger tap the trackpad, it acts like a left click. The one below it I've never seen or used but I'd imagine if your trackpad doesn't have a built in right click, using one of those options will act as such. They're mainly just accessibility options for people with poor dexterity.
