According to the manufacturers website, the FSP Hydro PTM PRO ATX3.0(PCIe5.0) 1200W is indeed 19cm in width.

If you need a smaller PSU I can definitely recommend the Seasonic PX or GX 1200w.
It has 12 year warranty and is only 15cm in Width.

After a lot of research I am actually buying one myself 🙂

But why it has 19 cm width ?. This make it not standard . Max standard width is 18 cm.

It's not uncommon to have longer than standard power supplies. They've got the length and width mixed up on the spec sheet. It's still 150x86mm where it mounts to the case.

My guess is they're talking about page 22 here. From the original ATX spec.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

So that's also going to be a place where you got width wrong. The 18cm you're saying as length, did you get that measurement by going from the back of the case to the front?

I have a feeling you and FSP are using depth for width because of how power supplies tend to sit in cases. If you have the power switch on the power supply facing you, the measurement from front to back is depth, but when it's in a case, that's going to look like width. Width and Height are measured on the mounting surface.

On the 1200 W, it's 190mm from front to back instead of 130. It's on the chart... It represents the length of the power supply.

depth=length.

Only if you are a heathen who puts the case on a desk sideways and calls the sidepanel "the front". Get hat tower on the floor where it belongs. 😉
