slow at times

Not sure if I'm in the right area.. sorry if I'm not..

I have an RTX 3060, a Ryzen 9 3900XT and 32GB  of DDR4 set at 2100 MHz, my main SSD is a 1TB 980 and I have 4 monitors attached. Every now and then my system gets sluggish. I'm kind of a newbie on some things and I never game. I use the PC mostly for website creation, writing and occasional video editing.

Any suggestions on upgrading or tweaking?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Pr Nicholas

That's part of the problem. Ryzen favors higher memory frequencies so the system will feel snappier and can increase performance. What RAM stick configuration are you running and what is the RAM kit rated for in terms of frequency? i.e 32GB 2x16GB DDR4-3200 Corsair Vengeance or Crucial Ballistix etc etc.

CPU Cooler Tier List  || Motherboard VRMs Tier List || Motherboard Beep & POST Codes || Graphics Card Tier List || PSU Tier List

Main System Specifications:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X ||  CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 Air Cooler ||  RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB(4x8GB) DDR4-3600 CL18  ||  Mobo: ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero X570  ||  SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 1TB M.2-2280 Boot Drive/Some Games)  ||  HDD: 2X Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB(Game Drive)  ||  GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming RX 6900XT  ||  PSU: EVGA P2 1600W  ||  Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow  ||  Mouse: Logitech G502 Hero SE RGB  ||  Keyboard: Logitech G513 Carbon RGB with GX Blue Clicky Switches  ||  Mouse Pad: MAINGEAR ASSIST XL ||  Monitor: ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B 34"

Try going into the BIOS and enable XMP/DOCP to get them to run at 3200MHz. If this doesn't work and your BIOS hasn't been updated in awhile, try updating the BIOS to the latest non-Beta version and then try to enable XMP/DOCP as updating the BIOS helps improve memory stability.

Interested in version (build number).

Hm, you shouldn't be using two AV solutions with real-time (active) protection, because that can lead to all kinds of weird behaviour.

Try leaving only one active, see if the other one can be in passive (on-demand) mode, or just leave only one installed.

Those are idle temps, but in any case it seems fine.
