Should I wait for Devil's Canyon?

I apologize in advance because I know this topic has been discussed a lot before but I want to know if I personally should wait for it or not.

 

So, my new gaming build was going to have the 4770K and the Maximus VI Hero. However, since the 4790K is supposed to be the same price (maybe slightly higher) and it is Z97, should I just get that along with the Maximus VII Hero? I know you may not think it is necessary since this will be a gaming build but I might do video editing in the future. Also, even if I didn't get the 4790K should I still get the Z97 motherboard? I would like to "future-proof" myself as much as possible (as in be able to upgrade to new CPUs and such without having to upgrade much along with it).

Are you kidding me?! It's starting to piss me off. Everyone keeps delaying everything. Screw that, I'm getting the 4770K with the Maximus VII Hero.

I was thinking about doing the same upgrade on my build but the broadwell is coming on christmas holidays so might as well wait a little longer...

If you already have the 4770K then it's not necessary to upgrade it because it's extremely fast and capable.

Don't get a Hero, it's overpriced and overdone. Get a UD5H or Deluxe.

Guys are you sure it got pushed back to the September Release? I was hoping for early May... I have a limited window on when I can buy it...

You mean Devil's Canyon? It comes out early June. Broadwell was what got delayed.

I just looked it up and it said it was, but it was only a rumor. I'm really hoping it's still June 2nd because I'm tired of everything getting delayed and just want it to be out.
