Access Point for WiFi Lights

I am helping an indoor trampoline park with a new lighting system. They have chosen to go with WiFi controlled light modules, estimating around 100 of them to be connected at once.

I have been looking for a cheap access point or router that would allow them to all be connected to a single Network that is separate from the free WiFi and Private WiFi. I have looked into using a Nighthawk Mesh system to allow for the large number of modules, but cannot find information on if the system as a whole is capable of 40 devices or each satellite is capable of 40 device connections on its own.

Not worried about speed merely the range and amount of devices that can be handled.

The building is roughly 50 meters by 30 meters. The access point can be mounted centrally but would be preferable to be mounted in a corner for ease of access.
