Can I use Microsoft gift card on Steam?

No. Microsoft gift cards can only be used on the microsoft store and xbox

Not sure where else to ask this bc its so specific, but i have a lot of microsoft rewards points and want to redeem them for a game on steam, but there is no redemption option for a Steam gift card, but could i just redeem a Microsoft gift card and use that on Steam?
