7800X3D is the superior CPU for gaming, I am sure you've run across it?

 

I'd get a better AIO, or move to air since the X3D chips aren't too hot.  Unless you just like the look of that one.

 

You can also shift to CL30 RAM but the X3D chips aren't picky so it isn't a big deal.

 

Pro drive is a waste of money, get a nice reliable regular SSD.

 

Really, just changing the CPU is the only "real" change to make.

Yeah, that'll work.  You'll get some others with tweaked builds, but you want what you want.  The 7900XTX will be a good option if you want to save $1100 though.

Insufficient AIO. Slow RAM. Overpriced SSD. Overpriced GPU. Meh motherboard. Meh case. Try this instead:

 

7950X3D comes 2nd in performance, bit slower than 7800X3D but productivity should make up for it if it's truly heavy. 1TB boot drive, trust me, having boot separate is so much better.

 

If you don't need NVIDIA for your software AMD is my go to. Still supported in 99% of apps and software and a significant saving. Extra fans for better airflow for GPU.

7800x3d + 4090 + 96gb 6400c32 (eff 6000c32)

 

7800x3d so you wont have to manually assign the x3d cores to your gamss

 

tripled the ram capacity just incase youll need a bunch of ram for your photo editing, coding, or some other stuff you might wanna try out in the future, but after you set xmp manually set ram speed to 6000 so you dont have to deal with tuning the rams

 

board is ridicolously overkill and im sure youll probably be fine with even the b650m hdv but at this budget might aswell, even has stuff like rear usb4, postcode, and eclk for overclocking that 7800x3d

 

aio or aircooler up to you to decide but for air id reccomend the phantom spirit evo, for aio the liquid freezer iii is an obvious choice

 

cut some cost on the gpu and ssd so if you really wanted to you can add another 4tb or two

 

1200w psu that isnt warrantyless and doesnt have complaints regarding fan noise

 

case is also up to you to decide since theres tons of budget left and the build is maxed out you can get whatever you want since aesthetics are subjective

Again, for most people both will do fine there are a few specific software apps that simply don't support AMD, but since you haven't explicitly mentioned any, I'll assume you don't have any. RTX and DLSS AMD also ray tracing support and AI upscaling. That being said anything but a 4090 isn't worth it for ray tracing just yet but at the cost of a 4090, not sure it's worth it. Sort of like PhysX fizzled out sadly.
