Is it worth spending £30 more for a 3090 over 3080TI

I will only be using the 3090 for gaming (and vr), not as a workstation card.

 

I know its performance is only slightly above a 3080ti, but considering the higher vram capacity and future reselling value, £30 more for a 3090 seems very reasonable. 

 

But is it even worth it to me? 

Cpu = 12600k

Psu = Txm 750

Yes absolutely, it’s a substantial jump and the vram difference is huge.

Do you think in the next few years i’ll find a use for that much vram in gaming (i’m at 1440p) or will it just be a nice to have. 

 

In Vr it will really help if i have mods but that’s about it

Its less of, will you make use of the 24gb in future, moreso, will 12gb be limiting in future, and thats a decent possibility, id take the 3090, extra performance but also the comfort of knowing you wont be VRAM limited for a while to come

Id go 3090 for sure. I had no reason not to. Especially with such a small price difference.

I'm assuming the 3090 is like $300 or less.  Hope he's not paying 4070 super money for it.

Are you buying these GPUs new or on the second hand market? Also, at what price?
