I recently switched to a 1440p Monitor and now my PC has a hard time managing 60 FPS on medium to low setting.

Specs:

CPU: intel i5 10400

GPU: GTX 1660 super

RAM: DDR4 16GB 2666Mhz

MoB: Asrock B460M Pro4

It is evident that the GPU is the issue However I am am confused on whether I should upgrade my entire PC or just the Graphics Card

I want to play modern AAA titles on Ultra settings 1440p with at least 100 FPS

Within my Budget I managed to Spec this System

CPU: intel i5 13400f

GPU: RTX 4060ti 16GB

RAM: DDR5 32GB 5200Mhz

Mob: MSI B760M

Or I could just upgrade the GPU to a 4070 super

If you Guys have any suggestions please let me know

A 4060ti wont do that at all

A 10400 is older but not a bad cpu.

What is the make and model of your psu?

What country are you in? That way we can potentially make a better list

New build would be a bit weak GPU side, I think the GPU upgrade would be better for 1440p, with the CPU on the weakish side tho

You should look at AMD GPU the 7800xt and 7900xt are good choices as well and usually cheaper

AMD R9  7950X3D CPU/ Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E board/ 2x32GB G-Skill Trident Z Neo 6000CL30 RAM ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition GPU/ Phanteks P600S case /  Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB cooler/  2TB WD SN850 NVme + 2TB Crucial T500  NVme  + 4TB Toshiba X300 HDD / Corsair RM850x PSU/ Alienware AW3420DW 34" 120Hz 3440x1440p monitor / ASUS ROG AZOTH keyboard/ Logitech G PRO X Superlight mouse / Audeze Maxwell headphones

Where I'm from RTX 4070, RX 7800xt and RTX 4070 super are usually listed around the same price

Well first you need to see if the CPU and GPU won't bottle neck and cause the GPU to not use its full potential but looking at what you have they will bottleneck bad. You need more then an i5 for this GPU. Please consider a i7 or better CPU. They require a better setup to work.
