Hey everyone, i got this board a few days ago, it has a chipped off inductor number LR33 and the capacitors next to it are shorted to ground. Now my next idea would be to inject voltage and check what gets hot,i dont have a thermal camera or a flux pen but im gonna have to order flux anyways so i guess i could just put flux all around that area to check where it gets hot, but i dont have a lab power supply and i am saving up for a new gpu so i cant just buy one since they are like 50 Euros .

does anyone now any alternatives ?

Use alcohol to check where the hotspot is (a trick from Louis Rossmann). I guess an alternative is finding a schematic or figuring out enough of the power network, then going there with a multimeter checking as you desolder stuff. Beware that GPUs do have low resistance between power and ground, a short may not be a short: https://xdevs.com/fix/oc_z_pc/

Get creative, use a PC PSU, put a resistor in series with a voltage output (maybe... 50 ohm or 5 ohm on the 5v line to keep it simple, just be careful with the resistor max power rating) and use that to inject something somewhere.
