Hello, thanks for your reply! The MQ27 is the same price as the Dell. Should I just get the Dell?

The Dell is better at most things though the M27Q has much better HDR colour gamut, so the decision is up to you, id say if theyre the same price the Dell is the better option but if you like really vivid colours the M27Q might be the better option

Hello, everyone! I am currently using a Dell S2522HG monitor (1080p 25”) and I would like to upgrade to a 27” 1440p monitor. My budget is around 350-400€ and so far, I have come to these 2 options:

1. Alienware AW2724DM - around 400€

2. Dell G2724D - 100€ cheaper

I am also thinking about getting a 32” 1440p monitor, but I don’t know if it would fit on my desk (80cm x 160cm) alongside the 25” Dell. Also, it would not be as sharp as a 27”. A 34” UW monitor is out of the budget unfortunately.

If you have any other recommendation I would love to hear it. The monitor must be an IPS, have good brightness and have a refresh rate above 144Hz. It will be used for programming and gaming.

Thanks!

PC specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X // GPU: ASUS TUF RX 6800 XT // RAM: 2x 8GB DDR4 G.Skill Trident Z Neo // MB: MSI B550-A Pro // PSU: Corsair RM850 // Case: Lian Li Lancool II Mesh C Performance // CPU Cooler: beQuiet! Dark Rock Pro 4

Gigabyte M27Q or i think theres an equivalent LG Model, both 27inch 1440p 165/170Hz or so, 1ms response time and with HDR capability, both IPS panels

Id say you could easily pick them up for lower than your budget

System specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D [-30 PBO all core]

GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT NITRO+ [1050mV, 2.8GHz core, 2.6Ghz mem]

Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB 32GB 6000MHz CL32 DDR5

Storage: 2TB SN850X, 1TB SN850 w/ heatsink, 500GB P5 Plus (OS Storage)

Just to clarify on the choice between the Dell and Alienware too, the Alienware is the slightly better monitor, however, i dont know if id pay a whole 1/3 extra for it over the Dell as its only minor improvements all around

From what I have seen, the Alienware has some downsides such as lower contrast when compared to Dell. The Dell seems like a good choice, but unfortunately it's out of stock now. I shall wait.
