Power supply buzzing. Problem or not?

My power supply (NZXT SP-650M from H1) has started buzzing (or at least I’ve started noticing it just now). It’s mostly occurring when I stress test the gpu or cpu or both (like games, furmark and prime95) and it just quite weird. Might’ve been happening before but I didn’t notice. There was buzzing before just loading up windows but it’s mostly gone away now (from booting into windows) however it’s not loud enough to hear it when all the panels and fans are on

Any ideas?

Could be coilwhine?

My RM750i has a little of it. Only noticeable if I put my ear next to my PSU though.

that's good to hear. Should be fine then if it's just coil whine. Just wasn't sure. Thanks!

Absolutely!  If you can't hear it with the panels fans on I would guess its coilwhine 🙂

My RM750i sound similar to this.

mine is more like a literal bzz, though it is an NZXT unit so that might be a difference

That is disugstingly loud and probably more than just coilwhine.

Coilwhine can sound very different to eachother like a bzz or high pitched REEE.
You said you can't hear it with sidepanels on so I would say that its just normal coilwhine 🙂  I wouldn't worry.

Potentially stupid question here...you rule out that it's not the fan that's making the 'buzzing' noise?

It’s definitely not the fan, unplugged all except the CPU one and buzzing originates from there

I'm talking about the power supply fan.
