Help with finding a new monitor

Joe6

I’m looking to upgrade my monitor for one that’s more of an ultra wide I currently have a 1440p 144hz 27in monitor but want something bigger.  For my computer I have a ryzen 7 3800x and Rtx 3070 FE but considering upgrading it when the rtx5000 series releases. If my current computer can’t fully utilize the monitor now that’s fine wanting the new monitor to last for a while. I plan on using it mainly for gaming but occasionally may use it for homework.  I don’t necessarily have a budget set right now but the most I’d want to spend is $1400 usd.

thanks for any suggestions and help

I'd recommend 34" 1440p 240Hz models with that kind of budget.

This Asus model is a good one:

Here are a few last-gen QD-OLED models that are still great monitors, but at a lower <200Hz refresh rate if that's not so important to you:

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
