S22 not working with dock

My s22 5g used to be able to connect to my thinkpad dock (usb-c) and then connect my dock to my monitor with an hdmi or display port cable. It wouldn't simply just show my phone screen it would use samsung dex which was nice. Now it does nothing but change the light on the dock from orange to white (but you can plug literally anything in and it'll do that), and show this on my phone.

Pretty much buying Samsung don't take it personal but I stopped caring about their phones on largest scale, quite some time ago.

Hate the bloatware.

Even the menu navigation sucks. Go BBK or go home, basically.

Its possible that it's not recognising the screen try different screen or connectors

 

Otherwise edit top and find DEX button if you click that what happens?

He probably meant too many Samsung apps that we don't need so its bloatware.

I kinda agree altho i kinda wish it was optional not forced installed.

I just kinda deleted the like 3 apps and forgot about them. But yea I see what he meant. Plus ik the cheaper A series phones have ads or smthn? And install apps beyond samsung ones. THOSE are annoying.

Yeah, my mom has an A33 5g and it's not even a base cheap one.

Hate the thing sometimes... I was considering an S20 Snapdragon for myself a few years back...

Wdym? Just price? They give you a shit ton of money for trade ins. I could trade in my mom's iPhone 12 mini and get the s24 128gb for 350-450. Trade in my s22 and I could get it for about 250

I mean I legit have a iPhone 15 but still prefer Samsung for the free games. Buuut everything else goes to Apple. Optimization, Ui, facetime /calling optimization l, camera quality, simplicity / user friendliness, how well the eco system works together.

The dex menu on the phone is not for detecting wired displays I thought? It's always done that even before when it worked.

Just realized why. I had a different cable before but lost it. The cable that comes with the s22 (the one I'm using) is only usb 2.0 :// so rip any data transfer. 

 

Edit: did some research and apparently the cable that comes with the phone is shit anyways.
