Some programs doesn't start

The other day I reckoned I could use our old family computer for some stuff. I remember a problem we had by then: some installed programs did not run. No big deal, though - I didn't use them much.

But as I said, I just set it up... and appearently some installers just won't run. I don't know why.

By the way, I use Windows Vista. Yeah, I know, it kind of sucks... But it was pre-installed, you know. And I don't feel like adding another $150 to this old computer.

Also, what I am trying to install is League of Legends. Installing Opera, Spotify, Python, VLC... All that worked great. But the LoL installer just won't work.

Try running the installer in compatibility mode. Also make sure you have the right installer for your version of vista (32 or 64)

Err... what compability mode?

I actually haven't got a clue whether I have the right installer or not. It's just called LeagueofLegends_EUNE_Installer_04_21_14.exe and I don't find any information about that on their website. You know the downloader for 32 bit?

Right, solved it! Appearently, my computer had blocked the program. A quick check in the properties tab... and I could simply just uncheck the block crap.
