A weird fan curve option that I'm looking for

Lord Szechenyi

Currently, my motherboard supports a fan curve where I can set the fan RPM (percentage) when it detects a certain temperature.

What I'd like to do though, is (as an example), have the fan spin at 10% when it's at 65°, then spin at 25% when it's at 75°, but when it gets to 85° I want it to spin at 70% UNTIL it cools back down to 65° or less.

Is such a thing possible? If yes, do I need some special software for that.

Moved to Cooling.

The option you're looking for is called hysteresis.

Try FanControl. It has support for Hysteresis and you can set it to only apply for temps going down like you want.

I *adore* FanControl. Ripped out all my other softwares and just run FC and OpenRGB to control my stuff. Gotta love FOSS
