Windows 10 black boxes when selecting on desktop

Hello, Ive had this problem with my pc for a while now, it doesnt happen all the time but like 10% of the time I open my pc. The problem is that when i highlight anything on the desktop, or draw on the desktop with the selection tool, the selected areas become black for some reason. Ive already ran virus checks, sfc, checkdisk and dism. Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: and refreshing the desktop doesnt help and when this happens my pc runs like at 5Hz, its unbearable. I have attached two videos below regarding this issue.
