Updating firmware on LSI MegaRAID SAS 9271-8i card

I've got one of these in the computer I'm using for NAS.  It's running windows 10.  I would like to update to the newest fw.  The card is badged as a AOC-SAS2LP-H8IR from SuperMicro.  The latest firmware that they have on their site is from 2017 though.  The card reports that it is running 3.410.35-3698 in MegaRAID Storage manager but the version on the SuperMicro site says 2.130.403-4660.  I went to the boradcom site and tried searching but it only had the 95XX and 96XX cards.  A general search pulled up 1k+ documents.  Is there a better way to find the latest firmware?

Is there a specific reason beyond just wanting the latest fw on it to update? Generally it's advised once something is setup, running and no issues attributed to generally not do fw updates etc that could introduce new issues that you previously did not.

No when you put it that way.  My concern was that I had read that earlier firmware of these cards didn't allow for drives above 3tb.

I have one of those cards in storage; they run the LSI 2108 so are equivalant to the 9260-8i, not the 9270-8i (2008 chipset).

FYI the 1 in 9271 just denotes that it comes packaged with cables

Anyway, the final firmware version for these cards is the P29 Firmware from 2012; which you can find near the bottom of the list on this page:

https://www.broadcom.com/support/download-search?pg=Storage+Adapters,+Controllers,+and+ICs&pf=RAID+Controller+Cards&pn=All&pa=&po=&dk=&pl=&l=true

Heres the direct link to the 2108 P29 MegaRaid Firmware: https://docs.broadcom.com/docs/12350879
