So iv been playing a game called The finals for 4+ hours more or less straig keeping an eye out for GPU temps and all that, i have not seen it go higher than 55-60 ºc and now that I have stopped for some tiem and continued again im seen it strange (see image) which i did not see before, I tryed playing the game on my second monitor and still get the same "glitches" I dont know what it could be, the card is brand new less than a month since I bought it, its a RTX 4060TI and the reason I bought it was because I burned my other card AMD Radeo RX950 so I really hope it did not happen again.

My PSU is a Thermaltake TR2 S 650W 80 Plus.

Okay so I was testing other games and it only happens on this one game and in two particular moments.

Yes I know my harware aint the best compared to my GPU, GPU was a gift after my old one broke

CPU -> Ryzen 5 3600X

PSU ->Thermaltake TR2 S 650W 80 Plus

What do you mean you "burned" your other card?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I mean I was playing a game, got a black screen followed by a blue screen and then both my monitors turned off, I restarted the PC and both monitors showed as one, tryed reinstalling the drivers and still nothing, tryed reinstalling windows and still nothing, I got in contact with AMD support and after many attempts they said it was most likely a hardware problem and that it no longer works properly, took it to my school (It is a a IT school) and my hardware teacher said it was burned.

Sorry for the bad english, its kinda late and im also spanish.

huh? how? and you didn't suspect the ancient PSU you're using at all? I'm surprised that thing still runs after being hooked to a 590, of course the card didn't survive...

The last time I read TR2 was when I was scrapping one to use the housing and fan to make a standalone unit with modular connectors to plug lamps and soldering irons. That particular unit had blown output capacitors and a burnt regulator so it was only good to salvage the rest of the components for various projects.

Its from 2019, I bought everthing else at the time in 2019 aswell.

The rest of the components are 48gb RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200

And for the CPU a Ryzen 5 3600X

I know the GPU is new and the rest is old but I got the GPU as a gift, not going to say no to a new GPU after my old one broked.

Everything lasted until a month ago, since 2019 till 2024 im not dissapointed id say thats pretty good.

Also, both the shop and my harware teacher said it would not be a huge problem, the harware is still good, I cant afford to replace both PSU and CPU.

Looks like that power supply goes back to 2016(and possibly further), and even back then, it was a low quality power supply.

Never cheap out on a power supply. You may end up with a very expensive paperweight in the process, or worse.

Ok, there are all manner of reasons a card may fail,  we are specifically asking how it was determined the reason here was that it was "burned"?

Was any physical damage present?
