Quantum computing?

FI Fheonix

What exactly does this mean, I am aware that they don’t use transitions and don’t use binary code. What changes on the hardware side? What would a quantum computer look like?

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?

That's an incredibly complex question. Veritasium did a great job explaining the concept many years ago:

I still don’t understand, what form factor does a quantum computer come in? Does it use traditional components? What’s the cooling like? TDP?

Honestly, I think what constitutes as a quantum computer varies depending on which company (or rather what field) of computing they are trying to do.

The general idea behind quantum computing though is this

You entangle particles together (which is essentially like saying doing something to one particle affects the other particle).

From there you can apply a certain field to it (equivalent to a formula) and you can try reading the state of all those particles and you get a result.

Now the thing is particles don't like being entangled, so generally you have to super cool them...like in this case close to absolute zero.

You need to also isolate them from EMF so they often are isolated.

You normally cool the by pumping something like liquid helium overthem.

To an extent they do use some traditional components, but for the most part I think a lot of it is almost lab grown stuff.
