Bluetooth PCIe card

Suggestions for PCIe Bluetooth card needed

There are no Bluetooth cards I'm aware of, they are all built-in to WiFi adapters and still need to be wired to a motherboard USB port (as the Bluetooth part is USB).

They do usually perform better than a USB dongle though due to the better antennas - if you get a card where the antennas aren't stuck to the back of the PC which pretty much kills bluetooth reception.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)

Can you recommend something please?

You have two options, you get a PCIe WiFi card that has Bluetooth capabilities. You WILL need a USB 2.0 header as the card will have a USB 2.0 header on it and you are expected to connect a cable from the cards USB header to your motherboards USB header because that's how the Bluetooth functions.

Second option. Buy a USB Bluetooth dongle. The benefit here is you dont have to open up your PC. The second benefit is you can place the dongle in a place where you would get good reception. Only advice I can give here is spend more than I did. Bought a Bluetooth adapter for $6.99 on Amazon way back in the day. It worked for the most part but Id probably recommend buying a better one.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

If you want good reception across the room, a WiFi card may be the best option of the two.  For example when I was wireless streaming LDAC to my Sony receiver I had to upgrade to an Eightwood External Wifi Antenna 2.4G I could put in line-of-sight.

You can also find other antennas on eBay from people who got them with their motherboard and aren't using WiFi or Bluetooth.

The specific WiFi card, it shouldn't make too much difference unless you need a specific Bluetooth version which we cannot know.  You could easily spend more than you needed getting the latest Bluetooth when you might not need it.

Its kinda impossible to advise when we don't know your use-case, country, budget, etc.

I recommend posting more details about your use case, so we can suggest hardware that does what you want it to do. 😉

A USB Bluetooth adapter with a mast antenna will work fine.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Nice find, I've never seen one with a proper antenna before.

If you have spare front USB ports that seems a good option.
