Hello, I have built a new computer and unfortunately there is a problem,
it occurs during gaming only so far and what happens is that the computer crashes,
either the game just crashes back to windows OR the screen goes black,
fans and rgb continue to run for a while before the whole the computer restarts.
Games that I have tested that crash are Red Dead 2 and Doom (2016),
Doom Eternal I could play through the whole thing without any problems with everything on Ultra settings,
which makes me a little confused..

Tried troubleshooting myself but didn't manage to solve the problem, tested older graphics card drivers, ran memtest,
checked temperatures and don't think they are too hot. I just now also ran a CPU test on OCCT wich gave over 1k errors on physical core 1 logical core 2. I dont know what to make of this, could that be because of XMP enabled?
Starting to wonder if it's a hardware failure that's the problem.

First computer I've built in like 15 years, so it feels extremely frustrating, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd be super grateful!

If crash dumps or something from the Event History/log book are needed, let me know. Im on the latest BIOS, also tried with same faults on 1.28 BIOS.

Everything is stock settings except that XMP is enabled

I attached a dumpfile from windows/Minidump, if something more is required let me know!

The problem is still there with XMP off. Do you want temperatures while game is running? I will upload event viewer pictures, the motherboard debug led/codes I have not looked into, how do I do this?

You only get debug LED/Q-Codes if the PC doesn't start. They show you which part of the Power On Self Test the PC is in so if it doesn't start, you check which one it got stuck on. They are not really error lights/codes, they just show which step of the testing it's currently on. If you get to the BIOS (And further on to Windows), it passed POST and this is irrelevant. So no idea why he asked. Kernel Event ID 41 is just that the machine shut down without using the "Shut Down" button in Windows. Unless you didn't know that it shut down/restarted, it has no value.

The dump file points to DirectX which usually means the GPU. Your other symptoms of the screen going black and games crashing also sound like the GPU. Was the OS clean installed on this PC? Meaning not cloned/moved from a different PC. If yes, my main suspect is a faulty GPU.

Do you have any Overclocks applied to the CPU or GPU? They could potentially be making the system unstable

Update:

I have reseated the CPU and applied new paste. Turned off xmp and getting no errors on OCCT with xmp OFF. Game still (RDD2 ultra settings) crashed after 30min-1 hour . Tried changing fan curves and decreased power limit in Adrenaline, seems like that has now stopped the crashing, could that indicate that either PSU or GPU is the problem?

Also, now i tried running OCCT with xmp ON and getting no errors, what i changed since last test with errors:

Reseated CPU and new thermal paste

Deleted a regfile related to AMDRyzenMasterDriverV20, i had 2 files one for v20 and one for v22

Limited GPU power usage and changed fan curves on GPU

I guess next step is run OCCT with normal settings for GPU and see?
