This is a long post sorry...... Anyone that can help or tell me what's wrong would be massively appreciated. I bought a PC around 2 years ago and recently the past 2 months (started around mid to late January, I think the exact date was Jan 23rd) I've been having a lot of problems with performance when gaming. I've tried everything, reached out to experienced people, turned my pc into professionals and they haven't fixed what's been going wrong with it. I've even installed new parts. A little background.... I play a bunch of games, mainly Fortnite; and my pc is very good, it is prebuilt however so it might have some problems with it. Before any of the problems I got perfect 240 FPS in game and no frame stutters or drops. After Jan 23rd and up until now I'm getting less than 100 FPS in game and in creative. I've tried getting it optimized and tweaking, but nothing helped, I factory reset it, I thought the problem was because I haven't cleaned it in a while. I put in new thermal paste and used canned air. It also didn't work. Going back to the prebuilt thing, the only thing bad about it was the fan, so I bought the Noctura NH-D15. Two things happened... 1. It doesn't fit in my case at all, so I had to take the glass off of it to fit.... 2. It still hasn't helped at all. I have no idea what is going on with my PC. I spent a lot of money on trying to get it fixed and I just really want to not worry about it anymore. In case it helps, my PC specs are i7-11700KF, 64 GB of Ram (upgraded from two 8 GB's), GeForce RTX 3080, 2 TB HDD + 512 GB SSD, and it's an ASUS ROG Gaming Desktop. Any response would be great, and I'll do anything to get it fixed so I won't have to worry about spending more money on it.

Run cinebench R23 and see what CPU multicore you get with it.

HWinfo64 and GPU-Z in the background while gaming, verify GPU wattage draw and PCIe version.

What are your temps? Background apps? That CPU should score around 15,000 - similar to my 12th gen i5

I don't have background apps on, for power saving or something. My temps are high 60s-70s

I really dont know. It just changed one day when i got on. 240 constant and then boom. Can't handle a steady 100

Very weird. Make sure to close unnecessary apps in your tray by right-clicking and clicking close or exit. (img attached)
