Budget (including currency): £300

Country: United Kingdom

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fortnite, Valorant, CSGO, MWII, Rocket League, VR maybe??

Other details : 1080p Gaming

Part List

Not Owned:

CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 5500 - £87.50
MOBO : Gigabyte B450M K - £51.97
RAM : Corsair 178300 Vengeance LPX 16 GB  - £29.99
CASE + FANS : DeepCool CC360 ARGB - £49.99
GPU : SAPPHIRE Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 - £70.00

Already Owned :

SSD : Crucial BX500 480GB - £0.00
HDD : Segate 1TB - £0.00
PSU : Corsair VS650 - £0.00

TOTAL : £289.45

Is there anything you would change with this built, or add if I'm missing anything. Idk what CPU cooler I should use because the Ryzen should come with the AMD Stock Cooler I assume which I could use, but I don't know what cooler I should get that's not too pricey but good quality. I also don't need fans for now because 3 fans come with the DeepCool case. I will probably upgrade to a NVME later on because the board I made sure had support for NVME, DDR4 and and AM4 Socket.

The stock cooler that comes with the 5500 will be more than enough, buying a cooler for this build would be a waste.

While this build is fine (or meh), I think you really should be looking on the used market. I suggest getting a used office PC (with a non propriatory motherboard and psu) and put a used GPU in it. You'll get far better bang for your buck.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

you can, in fact for downdraft cooler it's good since it will also cool the cheap VRMs on the Motherboard

stock is fine, Ryzen doesn't really care if it's running little warmer, you can buy a cooler later if you don't like the temps

Don't worry about storage, it only affects loading speeds really..

Used 5600(x) for 70-90£ instead which will perform alot better due to double the cache and you wont have to tune the rams to 4600 for optimal performance

Pretty crappy board, used market should have some midranger b3/450 like the pro4/steel legend, gaming plus/tomahawk, etc. Also for ~50£ if not less (i have found ppl selling b3/450 prime for like 30£ before when looking around uk fb marketplace) Thatll be far superior to that lowend vrmless i/oless b450 board

CASE + FANS : DeepCool CC360 ARGB - £49.99

Buy a used case if not a free one from someone throwing cases away as this can be put to the gpu and instead of a used rx 580/590 8gb for 70£ you can get a used 5700(xt) for ~120£ which should perform better than a gtx 1080 unlike the 580/590 thatll only perform similarly to a gtx 1060

This is the single biggest waste of money in this parts list

Btw do you have any other existing parts? Maybe from an old pc or something as other stuff like the case and maybe even the cooler can be reused
