Help with overcloaking with 12600k

Hi , i got 12600k and gigabyte MD 32mb ram .

i saw many guides on youtube and i dont know who can i trust from them ,

aswell im not looking for hard OC only for a madium OC for my CPU ,

im looking for simple OC with changing stuff like it use to be back in the days , with volts and cpu clock as i use to do years ago , seems there are many settings on the bios that people chaning atm and i dont know if its good or what right to change or if i lose something by chaning some other stuff .

so please looking for simple and easy OC not to strest the cpu that much but aswell to get an extra preformance.

thanks

Try following FrameChasers on YouTube. That's a good beginning for anything DDR5 related.

I would just reset the CMOS than, and leave everything stock. Should do the trick.

Might be worth checking out: EXTREME Overclocking Forums - Learn To Overclock Your PC Hardware (This is assuming you really need to fine tune the memory and CPU farther).

I would also examine your GPU/Video Card overclock, if you have one enabled (If you do, reset it to stock/default settings and save your overclocking profile for another date when you can confirm everything else is stable). As this could be causing other issues. Additionally, you might want to take a gander at Optional updates available, if there are any; Such as: BIOS/Firmware.

You didn't mention, but have you tried tinkering with it yourself, perhaps some tweaking? Are you getting any kind of BSOD errors yet? DDR4 is pretty stable these days, especially on 12th Gen Intel or greater platforms. I would basically opt for 3200 MT/s for stability or 3600 MT/s for frequency: in-a-nutshell.

Honestly you may as well just learn how to set up a custom boost table and voltage curve. That's what I did on my 12600KF so that it runs a little faster than stock while drawing less power. It was super easy and has had zero issues so far.

I didn't use a guide for anything, I just kinda winged it and ended up with something that works perfectly. 😬 Hopefully later tonight I can remember to take screenshots of what I have going so you can use it as a baseline and see what happens. Mine is less of an overclock and more of an optimization since I have it set so that if I need to I can swap to a low-profile air cooler and not have to change anything.
